My summer of Shakespeare has been wonderful, and I am happy to announce…I earned my Equity card! I am officially a member of the Actors’ Equity Association (AEA). Thank you all so much for supporting me as I made my journey into the union!

Lots of upcoming shows this month…including three more chances to see me play Margaret in “Much Ado About Nothing” at Theatricum Botanicum and two chances to see me in the PREMIERE of “This is Not a Tan” at The Second City Hollywood. Hope to see you for a show!

If you’re in Southern California this weekend, join me for the opening of “Much Ado About Nothing” at Theatricum Botanicum. I play Margaret, the bawdy ladies’ maid. Show runs July 12 to Sept 28 in repertory.

Last month, I submitted my pilot “Sunnyside Estates” to NBC Playground. The network is hosting an online competition for new writer-actor-producers. More news in the fall when they announce semi-finalists. Fingers crossed!

Wow. June 9. Almost summer!

I bid farewell to another season filled with love, friendship and Shakespeare at Looseleaf Theatre Co. in Irvine. Thank you to the cast, crew, and 1500+ audience members who shared “The Comedy of Errors” with me (see pics below). My cup runneth over yet again.

  

April was a wonderful month!

Filmed “I Like You a Latte” with the lovely and talented Sara Amini. It was so fun to spend the day on set with her and other pals from The Second City Hollywood. Plus…I love lattes!

Looking ahead! Mark your calendars for a Summer of Shakespeare. I’m playing Adriana in “The Comedy of Errors” with Looseleaf Theatre opening May 24, and Margaret in “Much Ado About Nothing” with Theatricum Botanicum opening July 12.

Best of all…I’m an auntie again! Made a trip up North to meet my baby nephew Henry. He’s awesome! Here’s a pic on my Instagram.

I am beyond grateful to have been part of a Play Reading at Skylight Theatre with Mary McDonnell. I still remember the first time I watched “Dances with Wolves” and am pinching myself that I played her daughter-in-law for a day! Humongous thank you to Casting Director Jane Bacon for gathering our family clan (see pic).

Had a super fun Animation Voiceover class with Sara Sherman and Aaron Drown from Disney. High Five to The Actor Company in Hollywood for putting it all together.

• Lauren Messiah, Personal Stylist. President of School of Style. All Around Awesome. Check out her cool blog post about my style transformation here. And, yes, Quincy came with me to my fitting (you can see his little face in the pic below).
• Jill Kirsh, Colorist. Owner of Jill Kirsh Color. “Hollywood’s Guru of Hue.” Jill did a color consultation and helped me find my best palette for makeup and wardrobe. What a difference…and I’m back to brunette!
• Cast & Crew of the feature film The Jokesters. Had a total blast on set. Check out my behind-the-scenes photo collage!
