December 2014 Newsletter

Last month was filled with filming, teaching, and family time. With some pumpkin pie and a trip to Brooklyn in the mix.

Principal photography wrapped, and Post-Production is in motion for my short film Topanga RoseRose, a young girl living with Cystic Fibrosis, goes on a birthday picnic with her mother, and an unexpected guest brings them peace. I wrote the film in memory of my cousin, Tracy Marie Wright. Makes me smile now to think of her. A more detailed announcement about the film is on its way this month. For now, enjoy some pics from the shoot and follow @TopangaRoseFilm on Twitter.

My teaching adventures continue. Just finished a Teen Monologue class at Noise Within theatre in Pasadena. So fun to help these high school students prep for college auditions!

This week, I am thrilled to lead a Shakespeare workshop – Maids, Maidens & Matriarchs! – as part of Cake Batter’s Funny Women Festival at iO West in Hollywood. Click here for more info. Enrollment is only $25, and benefits go to Downtown Women’s Center in Los Angeles.

Last, but not least, I perform next week in Trippingly on the Tongue (a Shakespeare showcase) at The Second City Hollywood. I co-produced the event with Brian Vestal and am super excited to play Kate and Olivia…plus a lil’ Beatrice walk on. Click here for tickets.

Thank you all for your support and encouragement. Especially at this time of year, I am reminded how important it is to have friends and family together – even if digitally.
